Over 250 million people around the world are living with chronic Hepatitis B

Most of these people live in areas with limited resources and access to healthcare. We are committed to working with communities and healthcare workers to stop Hepatitis B - through prevention, testing and treatment.

About Hepatitis B Free

Hepatitis B Free is a non-profit Australian registered charity dedicated to working towards a world free of hepatitis.

Our mission is to educate, improve access to care, provide hope, and advocate for people and communities affected by hepatitis.

What Is Hepatitis B?

Hepatitis B is a liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus affecting more than 240 million people worldwide. It can cause both acute (short-term) and chronic (long-term) disease. Chronic hepatitis B can cause scarring of the liver (cirrhosis), liver failure and is the leading cause of liver cancer.
